Solar Eclipse – Eye Safety

By August 21, 2017 Safety Blog

Today is a special day, and while the subject content may not be entirely work-related, Mark wanted to address the solar eclipse taking place this afternoon.  Check in at 3:42 pm (AST) for the best view of the eclipse.  Just as with welding, you’ll want to wear some highly protective eye gear to shield your eyes from intense UV rays.  Sunglasses will not offer enough protection!

Also remember to prevent children or pets from looking directly at the eclipse today, as it can easily happen if they are outdoors playing.

Mark also took an opportunity this morning to discuss the importance of caring for our customers’ products as we manufacture them.  We want to offer our customers the best service possible, and that includes taking extreme care if their belongings throughout the build process!

Have a safe week everyone!
