Fire Safety

By October 3, 2017 Safety Blog

A fire can begin so quickly in one’s home or work place.   We tend to consider the flames to be the most dangerous part of a fire, but often forget how damaging the smoke can be!

Your first priority in dealing with a fire of any kind is your own person!  To help prepare yourself and ensure your own safety in the event of a fire, knowing the proper escape route is extremely important.  Most work places will provide escape routes for their employees, which are practiced during routine fire drills.

To better protect yourself during a fire escape, stay as close to the ground as possible to avoid breathing in smoky air.

Keep these things in mind during your next fire drill, and have a safe week everyone!
