Though forklifts are a part of out everyday life, hear at BWS, I felt in necessary to make sure the staff were aware of just how much power is in one. BWS has several forklifts running throughout the factory at any given time in the day with many different drivers.
A forklift is small in size but actually weighs more than three time the amount of Randy’s 2WD truck!
2016 Chevy Silverado = 4792 lbs
CAT electric forklift = 16093 lbs
This is very hard to believe, given their small stature. But this is the reason for this reminder. ALWAYS make eye contact with the driver before approaching the forklift. And ALWAYS give a forklift the right of way.
This will keep everybody safe and out of harms way.
