Today Mark spoke to the staff on a slightly different level; potential energy.
Kinetic energy is usually what we are able to feel:
- Wind
- Electrical
- Sounds and/or vibrations
Those types of risks are more easily identifiable since they can be seen or felt. But potential energy is with things like gravity, chemicals and elastic energy.
The staff was urged to identify the less obvious threats to the them in their work environment. Is there anything that could fall? Are chemicals stored in a possibly dangerous place, is there dip in the roof? Look around and consider the risk.
